Of the three songs I’ve featured this week this one shows the most influences of greats like New Order, Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys with a The Smiths/Morrissey-isc thrown in for good balance. City Spotlight On The Hotties (Part 1 - Alex Di Dio)

“Guy of the… day, week, month, year, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera” is always a fun section on many of my favorite sites. Not sure how the entry will work out because I want to keep this blog clean and not turn it into an adult theme blog. I’m not sure where to draw that thin line when it comes to posting images. But there will not be anything more risqué than on popular gossip blogs/sites. The guys featured will come from all walks of life and I’ll try to give credit for images as much as possible if I know where they came from. For the kick off I want to do “City Spotlight On The (Pocket) Hottie” and “City Spotlight On The Hottie” to kick off this segment. I’m including one for each category this week but more than likely I will only do one or the other each week.

In case it hasn’t dawn on you just yet, I really like guys of short stature. Mostly those guys under 5’8” (or Pocket Hotties), or as one of these hot little guys so greatly put it in a chat a few weeks ago, “short but well proportioned.” There have been a few extremely compact guys (some close to the 5’0”) that I’ve completely gone gaga for because they are so hot & cute. Keep in mind they are ways well proportionate. No offense to the “little people” of the world. Just compact versions that I enjoy better, and I know there are “shorty lovers” out there who feel the same way. I want to feature these guys because too often these guys are over looked in our society because they don’t measure up (no punt intended) to the social norms.

For this week’s City Spotlight On The (Pocket) Hottie we have someone I wrote about yesterday new comer Alex Di Dio, who brilliantly played Simon in BearCity. The 23 year old actor is a HOT 5’8”…WOOF! He’s just starting but I’m already a BIG FAN. As he states on his FB FanPage “Alex Di Dio is an up and coming actor from Long Island, NY. He will be kicking ass and taking names very shortly.” Since there is not much out there about him at the moment it’s hard to add a lot of image but I have found a few videos where he looks cute to boot.

Happy New Year 2008! (Or the first of many entries.)

This is an introduction to what I hope becomes a regular thing both for you and me. For some time now I’ve wanted to start this thing called a BLOG. Not sure how much of my ideas will end up here because I don’t want all my creative energies to go unrecognized and/or stolen. But this will become an outlet for me to express my ideas, ask you for feedback and hopefully catalyst my writing career. It’s really been a long time since I’ve done some writing for others to read and I miss it. If you guys feel I’m being too “whatever” smack me around because I want to get better, but be kind. ;-)

So what can you expect to read about? Hum. I’m a Gemini and true to the eclectic nature of us Twins I like to write and talk about everything. Writing, poetry, storytelling, and all the other things in my life that puzzle me or interest me – big cities, traveling, and men. Oh yeah! In case you missed it I’m gay. I’m not sure if you could figure it out speaking to me but I’m much more expressive in writing. I’m by no means in the closet just that I’m more of what is commonly know as BUTCH. Which means I’m just like most straight guys except I'm attracted to other guys. Albeit, I’ve been know to check out girls all the time. Okay, I’m a little friendly when it comes to people.

There are likely many of you who will be driven to read this BLOG because you are coming from another social site in which I have a profile. I’m a member of many gay communities but there are a few with which I identify more. For those of you who never saw an episode of QAF (Queer As Folk) or who don’t know anything about gay life, there are many segments of gay culture and even more subcultures within each. You might identify as being Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Fag, Lesbo, Twink, Otter, Cub, Bear, Chub, Chub4Chub, Chaser and so many more things. As you can imagine there are as many definition of each word as there are people in each community. We each define each word differently. But there are a few things that are usually universal like a Bear is a hairy gay guy, not some furry animal found out in the woods (okay maybe some are but that’s another story). And a Chub is a guy who is generally over weight for his height. These are the two which I most identify and likely will be speaking about or in relation to in this BLOG.

Well, I hope that when you visit next time you will enjoy what I’ve written or added to this BLOG. There are a few ideas I’ve already toyed with and know will be posted over the next few days.

And remember to come back often and visit my new little space on the internet. I know it will evolve as time goes by as much as I have evolved throughout my life.
